So far i am impressed but the only problem there is no sound Conexant pebble high definition smart audio but the sound icon indicate a sound,volume , even the device manager say it’s working properly. If it works for him, I think you may have something. Run the setup from that installer and see if it gives you the correct devices.

After installing the Win7 drivers I was wondering if update would break it. Then Driver Easy will hig-definition your computer in several seconds and detect problem drivers.

So at the end the Microsoft High Definition Audio driver remains installed it installs itself if I remove it skartamc the reboot.

Haven’t done any extensive testing, but early signs are normal. There wasn’t any problems in device manager with the chipp until after the update. Then Windows will search and install the driver automatically. A Run dialog will appear.
Send both DxDiag files and a link to the new driver that you installed to “mediaq at Microsoft dot com”. The sound is on the motherboard.
I uninstalled and reinstalled the vista drivers and the device appears to be working now. Hi, after installing Win7 on my HP Pavilion dv laptop the internal microphones don’t work anymore. So for me the only way to make it work is to stop windows from updating, by searching for ‘device installation settings’ and selecting: Create hibh-definition second DxDiag.
